What is IV Sedation?

IV Sedation is a form of anesthesia. Your child receives medication through a vein to induce a calming and relaxing sleep-like state. During IV sedation, your child will be conscious, but they will not feel pain or remember the procedure. This allows our pediatric dentists to perform necessary treatments while keeping your child comfortable.

Safety First!

Your child is in great hands when it comes to receiving their treatment under IV sedation. Our office has partnered with Pediatric Dental Anesthesia Associates (PDAA) to help us care for our patients in-office. A Board-Certified Pediatric Anesthesiologist from Pediatric Dental Anesthesia Associates (PDAA) will provide your child with a positive, fun experience while falling asleep and the highest level of safety and care throughout their procedure. After their procedure is completed, your child will recover with a medical nurse in a comfortable environment within our office, and parents are welcome to sit with their child during this post-operative recovery period.
